Introduction:

OSSUM is a new systemic insecticide with Quick Knock Down action giving longer duration control of Rice Brown Plant Hopper (BPH).
 
Mode of Action:
  • OSSUM works through contact and ingestion
  • OSSUM acts as agonist of insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptors
  • OSSUM’s mode of action is different from those of organophosphate, carbamate and pyrethroid compounds
  • OSSUM causes cessation of feeding and death within a few hours of contact.
